Forum: forums Subject: Podcast URL's suddenly changed/broken?

About 2 weeks ago I ran in to a problem where suddenly all of the links to my podcast episodes were no longer working. For example, this used to work perfectly fine:
But it stopped working, and the only way I could get it to play on my website again was to to go the page on the archive and click the MP3 link and copy the "new" url which was suddenly changed to:

Why the change? This caused problems within itunes and feedburner as I had to change ALL of my episode url's to the new urls and it screwed up all of my stats. What caused this? Also isnt there a way I can group all of my podcasts on to one page instead of creating a new page each episode? Like here is the page for episode 7:
I cant find out how to group them all on to one page. Thanks any help is appreciated!

you should not use the links that are server specific like the one you had in your message. files are often shuffled between different machines so your link will fail.

generally item urls should start with:[identifier]

so your links would look like:

If you have 50 items you can ask for a collection. It is best to have many items as the metadata is at the item level, not file level. This helps with not only search but allowing items to have unique metadata.
